Book Launch & Creative Workshop with Patricia L. Atchison In-Person
Join us for a special book launch and signing with local author Patricia L. Atchison, celebrating the release of her young adult fantasy novel Starsun Defiance. Teens and adults are welcome!
In Starsun Defiance, seventeen-year-old Ahriee defies tradition after witnessing the killing of a sacred Guardian Protector. Guided by the spirit of the great bear, she flees her island home and crosses into a new world filled with possibility — and danger. As the past hunts her down, Ahriee must choose courage, freedom, and the future she dares to create.
The evening also features a mini creative workshop, “Discover Your Companion Creature.” Inspired by the novel’s magical Guardian Protectors, participants will imagine and write about their own companion creature, exploring the bond they share and the adventures ahead. Sketching is welcome — creativity encouraged!
