This year’s Battle of the Bands at Glitch brings an exciting, high‑energy weekend of live music in support of the Airdrie Public Library. Featuring separate Adult and Youth divisions, the event delivers a true competition atmosphere with judges selecting the winners based on performance, musicality, and overall impact.

Bands will perform 20‑minute sets using a provided backline that includes a house PA, drum kit (with bands supplying their own breakables), bass rig, and up to four microphones. Performers should bring any additional instruments, DI boxes, cables, or gear needed to complete their setup.

Prizing focuses on meaningful opportunities rather than cash, including a paid performance at Glitch and additional exposure within the local music scene, with more prize partnerships currently in development. The event aims to create a fun, community‑driven environment while showcasing emerging musical talent.

Promotion has already begun, and bands can apply through the official online entry form here (https://forms.gle/7UYhfeN4aWMhhYwZ9) There is no entry fee, and applications will remain open until approximately 3–4 weeks before the event. Questions can be directed to the Glitch team at hello@glitchgaming.ca.

Both days promise a lively, well‑attended atmosphere with great music, enthusiastic crowds, and opportunities for performers to take the next step in their musical journeys.
