Accessible Entrepreneurship: Building Businesses, Reducing Barriers

Accessible Entrepreneurship: Building Businesses, Reducing Barriers In-Person

Have a business idea or a dream you’ve been quietly carrying with you?

Community Futures Centre West invites you to an inspiring and practical evening designed for entrepreneurs who identify as having a disability or disability-related barrier, however you define that.

For this event, disability is self-identified. This includes visible and invisible disabilities, chronic health conditions, neurodivergence, mental health conditions, learning differences, or any barrier that affects how you work or build a business. If you’ve ever wondered whether this space is for you, it is. No diagnosis required.

This free, in-person conference is about possibility, confidence, and connection. You’ll leave feeling more empowered, better informed, and less alone in your entrepreneurial journey.

What to expect:

  • Inspiring speakers sharing real stories, insights, and lived experience

  • A hands-on business ideation workshop to help turn ideas into next steps, or dive deeper into your current idea

  • A mini resource fair connecting you to supports, opportunities, and community partners

  • Swag bags, refreshments, and a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere

Whether you’re just starting to explore entrepreneurship, adapting your work to fit your life, or already running a business and looking for support, you belong here.

Come as you are. Leave with new ideas, new connections, and renewed confidence in what’s possible.
