Curious about 3D design but not sure where to start? This beginner-friendly tutorial introduces you to Autodesk Fusion 360, a powerful and accessible tool for 3D modeling. No prior experience is required—just bring your curiosity and creativity!

What You’ll Learn:

  • Navigating the Fusion 360 interface
  • Understanding basic design tools and terminology
  • Creating simple 3D objects from scratch
  • Exporting and preparing models for 3D printing

Each session will guide you through a hands-on project, with the goal of completing a new object every week.

What to Bring:

  • Your own laptop (recommended for continued practice at home)
  • OR use a library-provided computer (note: work created on these devices may not be accessible from home)
  • Minimum Computer Requirements for Fusion 360: To run Fusion 360 smoothly, your device should meet the following specs 1:
    • Operating System: Windows 10/11 (64-bit) or macOS Big Sur/Catalina
    • Processor: x86-64 CPU with at least 2 performance cores, 4 threads, and 3GHz+ turbo clock speed (e.g., Intel Core i3 or AMD Ryzen 3)
    • RAM: Minimum 8GB
    • Graphics: Dedicated or integrated GPU with at least 1GB memory, supporting DirectX 11
    • Internet: Stable connection (Fusion 360 is cloud-based)
    • Note: Devices below these specs may experience lag or limited functionality.
