Let's Get Started with Code Combat

Let's Get Started with Code Combat In-Person

Let's get Started with Code Combat is a short, hands-on, two-week program designed to jumpstart students’ personal coding journeys. Using the game-based CodeCombat platform, participants will be introduced to the fundamentals of coding through interactive puzzles and challenges that teach real-world programming concepts in Python or JavaScript.

Rather than a long course commitment, this program focuses on helping learners get up and running quickly—building confidence, core skills, and familiarity with the platform so they can continue learning independently at home. Participants will practice logical thinking, problem-solving, and basic programming skills in a fun, supportive environment.

This program is ideal for youth in grades 6–9, whether they are brand new to coding or have some prior experience. CodeCombat is also available as a new digital resource for all patrons, allowing anyone who cannot attend the program—or who wants to keep learning afterward—to access it from home at their own pace.
